I am a marketing director, art director, graphic designer, and fine artist living and working in Allentown, PA.
I have been a lifelong creative and visual thinker. I studied drawing and painting in private and group lessons as a child, and attended classes at the Baum School of Art during high school. At Kutztown University of Pennsylvania, I studied graphic design and advertising, and earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts in 2006. I've worked professionally as designer for the last 15 years.
The thing about making design decisions for 40 hours per week is that there is precious little creativity leftover for personal projects. I lost my desire to pick up a paintbrush for years. But I am slowly getting back into doing fine art for pleasure as of 2020.
My visual communications are usually flat and quick in nature. I rely heavily on symbolism in my work, partially due to my design training, and partially due to the influence of my upbringing surrounded by the holy art of the Russian Orthodox Church.
I also have synesthesia, a sensory phenomenon which infuses my everyday perception of letters, numbers, and other things with color and drama.
