I am a marketing director, graphic designer, and occasional fine artist living and working in Allentown, PA. I am a visual thinker and typography enthusiast.
My parents bolstered me with art education. They paid for elementary-level art classes with local teachers, and later, classes at the Baum School of Art. At Kutztown University of Pennsylvania, I studied graphic design and advertising, and earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts in 2006. I worked professionally as a graphic designer for 15 years before officially pivoting that career experience in the broader direction of marketing.
The thing about making creative decisions all day at work is that there is precious little energy leftover for personal projects. The desire to embrace fine art through painting or drawing is often there, close to the surface, but the drive is not there to support it. On the rare occasions that I sit down and make something by hand, my work is usually flat, quick, and symbolic in nature. I do enjoy working on pysanky eggs seasonally, when the mood hits.
I have grapheme-color synesthesia and ordinal-linguistic personification, which help color my world.
